Project Name
Urban Gateway District

Our winning entry in this invited international design competition establishes a sustainable and innovative community that places high importance on connectivity, vibrancy, and environmental responsibility. Guided by our research into pedestrian-friendly urban centres, the masterplan strongly emphasises walking and micro-mobility. Our approach aims to interlink individual plots through an elevated public realm, fostering a seamless urban fabric.

Internal streets within the masterplan serve as vibrant conduits, interconnecting spaces and forming a dynamic public realm. These streets will house community retail, co-working areas, residential lobbies, and other essential amenities, cultivating an environment that promotes social interaction and community engagement. Strategically shaded for thermal comfort during hotter months, these streets are landscaped using local flora, water elements, and public art, creating an exceptional and lasting experience for all users.

Departing from the conventional notion of single-use districts more commonly found in the region, our design integrates a diverse array of functions. These encompass residential, office, co-living, co-working, community retail, destination retail, and dynamic public spaces. The result is a thriving, diverse community that remains active both day and night.
